Getting Closer with Kanto TUK

Kanto TUK, our newest speaker, is without a doubt Kanto’s most remarkable and best-sounding speaker, featuring a variety of functions. TUK is internally powered by a 130W RMS class D amplifier, with 65W RMS provided to each channel. We used complete digital signal processing (DSP) to properly adjust the speakers to our taste. Furthermore, when connected to a subwoofer, the active crossover network of our speakers improves low-end quality by filtering out frequencies below 80Hz.

We’ve integrated an aptX HD codec for high-resolution audio transmission over Bluetooth. If your device supports aptX HD, you can now enjoy better-than-CD quality audio wirelessly. We also incorporate industry-standard aptX and AAC codecs to assure high-quality wireless sound regardless of device. AMT tweeters, which are lightweight, respond faster than normal dome tweeters, resulting in super-quick, precise treble. The pleated design of an AMT tweeter also enhances efficiency by increasing surface area, allowing for more air to be pushed than a relatively sized dome tweeter. Their rectangular design minimises vertical dispersion, allowing less music to be reflected off the ceiling and floor while keeping a somewhat broad horizontal dispersion, ensuring that all listeners in the room receive a consistent frequency response.

The aluminium drivers are extremely rigid, which makes them less prone to deformation when pushed to their limits. We reduce the amount of distortion added to the audio being played by preventing the driver from flexing. Another first for us is the input display. Each input includes its own set of LEDs that offer visible confirmation of which input is being utilised, eliminating the need for guessing while switching between devices. You may also change the brightness of the input display and, if required, turn off the LEDs completely. TUK also has a 3.5mm headphone output on the front, so you may use headphones with any music source connected to the speaker. This simple feature, which is uncommon on speakers at this price range, eliminates the need to buy a separate headphone amplifier for more personal listening.

Our built-in dedicated phono preamp eliminates the need for an additional piece of equipment while listening to turntables. There is a dedicated RCA input for line sources, eliminating the need to switch or share an RCA input between two analogue audio sources.

TUK, like other Kanto powered speakers, has a subwoofer output. TUK, on the other hand, has the added benefit of a selectable active crossover network. This network is made up of a low pass filter that sends frequencies lower than 80 Hz to the subwoofer and a high pass filter that delivers anything higher than 80 Hz to the speakers. TUK’s built-in amplifier can now focus entirely on the middle and highs, resulting in more powerful and precise transients and higher volume without added distortion. The sub-out may be quickly activated or deactivated using the remote.

TUK’s remote control has an extensive list of handy functions. While the majority of the buttons are self-explanatory, several secret functions may be accessible by using precise button combinations. Holding the “Sub Mute” button for five seconds, for example, activates the active crossover. This initiates an HPF/LPF network, which directs frequencies lower than 80 Hz to the subwoofer and frequencies higher than 80 Hz to the speakers.

TUK also has an automated power-up and power-down feature that may be turned off. Holding down the “Treble Reset” button for five seconds disables automated power-up, while holding down the “Bass Reset” button disables automatic power-down.

TUK applies your EQ settings to all inputs by default. However, by holding the “Play/Pause” button for 5 seconds, you may enable the Bass/Treble Memory (BTM) function, which allows you to establish different EQ settings for each input.

TUK also allows you to change the L/R stereo output to ensure that your speakers are configured to offer the appropriate audio experience. By default, the active speaker is set to the left channel, however holding the Next Track button for 5 seconds changes it to the right channel. Hold the Previous Track button for 5 seconds to return to the default, active speaker on the left. TUK’s USB charging connector, of course, delivers up to 2A to power Smart Home devices or charge phones or tablets.

TUK is a multipurpose powered speaker that sticks out from the crowd thanks to its one-of-a-kind characteristics. The speaker is intended to thrive in four areas: turntable, desktop, living room, and smart home, with an emphasis on giving customers an intuitive and seamless experience.

Overall, the TUK is an amazing value speaker that may replace the need for extra equipment such as a DAC, headphone amp, phono preamp, and AV receiver. TUK is an industry leader in powered bookshelf speakers due to its extensive feature set and exceptional sound quality.
